He has a family. There are three children. One of them is 8, the other is 9 and he is 10 years old. He’s with his siblings most of the time. He also doesn’t have a dad because the dad left them. He doesn’t really care that much because he didn’t know his dad. He’s never wished for a dad because he’s fine with what he has.
He goes to school but he gets bullied sometimes. He doesn’t have much money as the others so he can’t have the same shoes as them. He wears dirty old adidas that has been with him for two years while his friends get new shoes every time school starts.
He has 2 friends. One is just like him - he doesn’t have that much money and the other friend tries to help him because he feels bad for him. He met one friend at the lunch table.
One day during lunch, he was already sitting at the lunch table when his first friend was looking for a seat on a lunch table. He couldn’t find one. The friend asked if he could sit with him and he said, “yeah,”
“Hi, what are you doing? How was your day?” said the friend.
“Nothing, pretty much.” he said back.
“How did you get a 98 on your math test?”
“I studied. What did you get?”
“I got a 90” the friend said.
They continued their conversation. They started talking more and helping each other with math. They found out that they had a lot of things in common.
When people from school came in with new shoes, him and his friend talked about how they weren’t able to get new shoes. This is when he found out that his friend also didn’t have a lot of money.
